When this car first arrived, it was a lot better than we expected, so we got to pushing her onto the showroom floor and started the tear down process.
While in the tear down process, we fully disassemble the car and strip all paint and undercoating to see the metal underneath and address any trouble areas we find. On this car in particular it was pretty straight forward, the paint had already been partly stripped away and required minimum body work
After grafting on a gt500 body conversion kit and getting it into primer it awaits its 305cid 5.0 coyote motor, matching transmition and s550 rear end
This lemans came to us with a petty deceiving paint job, she was a good ten-footer but under the paint hid the real secrets.
she's full of rust in all four corners,
After seeing the copius amounts of rust this car suffered from we decided the best option was too to take it down to bare frame, replace any damaged or rotted out sheet metal with aftermarket panels and sheet metal,
after all the body work and all rust was removed from this vehical the team started on the reassemble with new rubber all around, new steering box, rebuilt engine, transmition and rear end.
patty's put in years here at hot rod resurrection as our sole office person so it only fits that she gets a rocking truck to show our apparition for all that she does here at hot rod resurrection
Pauly put a lot of hours into this truck to cut out the entire firewall and hand quilted sheet metal to replace the rotted out firewall with something beautiful and kustom to only her truck
after seeing the results of Pauly with a bead roller the team at hot rod was set on doing it all around the engine bay and inner fender wells. stay tuned for more progress on Pattys 56 chevy 3100
